I have the free version of equilab omaha, after taking a range to main window of say 5% I cannot get all the actual combinations to appear after hitting the hand range explore icon. My icon is not a pie chart. my icon is a blue circle with a small i inside

That small blue circle is the right button. By pressing it you should get Handrange Explorer window. There you have display options to show that range either as groups, combos or even playing cards. There is a drop menu in the middle "Only show ____ items". That is 100 by default. Took me a while to wonder why that 5% range doesn't show all hands in that range, until I noticed it.
PLO ranges are so wide, that even just that 5% range is quite a list of combos. And the problem when we go outside just top% ranges beyond top 10% or so, is that it's not the same as opening range. If we want to open 25% from the CO, that should not be top25% of hands. With Odds Oracle (free to use at least for now) we can use old PokerJuice opening and 3betting ranges, which are very close to solver ranges and therefore much more useful. Equilab doesn't support custom ranges as macros.
