what did you start on and what kind of stakes did you play?

Started with 100$, moved up from NL5 SH to NL50 SH.

I play on GGpoker even though it says Pokerstars. None of my hand histories will have villain stats.

PStrategy gave me $50 I earned some more, deposited to PStars $100 and started with NL10 (BSS of course) as I can't motivate myself to play any lower at those super deluxe micros. Then I grinded that up to $650, started to play NL25 and since than I'm playing 5-6 max. only.
Soon enough I made my first $1000 and then I began with NL50.
Grinded the shit outta 'em and then I cashed out half of it - one half to play NL100 at Betfair, other to stay at Stars.
Then NL200... NL400 and so on...
My overall BR was at 55K highest point but I wasn't comfortable to keep it online so I cashed out everything but 25 buy ins at each site.
