I'm absolutely stunned by this hand against this villian.. hence posting results.

How should we adjust our play against villian for this sort of hand? I'm assuming there is no way of adjusting and just accept the cash on a long term basis?

Villian stats:
Hands/VPIP/PFR/WTS/AF/AFq
786/25/19/44/1.7/53

IPoker Network $0.50/$1 Limit Hold'em - 5 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is SB with Q♠ Q♦
1 fold, CO raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, CO calls

Flop: (7 SB) 4♣ 2♥ 2♣ (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls

Turn: (4.5 BB) 8♠ (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps!, Hero calls

River: (12.5 BB) 5♣ (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls

Final Pot: 14.5 BB
CO shows 8♦ 2♦
CO wins 13.8 BB
(Rake: $0.70)

As played I don't think the turn 3Bet is overplayed.. I mean the only hand that makes any normal sense that beats us is 88 and there are loads of hands we beat that raise the turn.

He played standard call flop / raise turn and stats look TAG to me?

Ummm... he open raises from CO with 82s. 82s. :f_eek: Not a TAG open raising hand.

Post flop his play is okay, but tell me, what hand range would you put villian on when he raises turn?

And his ATS?

What about BB's stats. With nitty BB I'm stealing very loose as well (but still not with 82s :)).

You have 786 hands on him. Any notes? This steal is probably worth one. His WTS is a bit higher imo. Usually when I see a hand like this vs opponent with ~300+ hands played together, I'm reviewing his game and making notes about his play. Adjusting is a lot easier then.

Which software are You using? With PT3 You can see stats when reviewing session in replayer and I found it great for making notes.

Damn, it was obviusly bed time for me, I really thought I saw 88, not 82... :f_eek:

hi waiboy
hand looks fine. standard turn 3-bet even after this hand happened. he could do this with a lot of worse pockets etc.
just take a note and "accept the cash on a long term basis" :)

Thanks folks for the comments and evaluation. :f_biggrin:

ATS = 36%. This just looks like a completely random play v a pretty TAGgy stat dude.. only abberation is his WTS is a little high but other than that it all looks standard.

And PT3 rocks and I do use the replayer for reviews, but I've not noticed anything unusual v this villian previously.

Maybe he missclicked preflop? :P

In the replayer window, You have to check "show hud" option. It's at the bottom between replay controls and chat ;)
