vpip 61, pfr 31, wts 63. According to our charts, TT is the only danger, but how do these stats alter what he may raise with? Could he also have raised with 99, or even 88 or 77? If not, then you should cap the turn, because you are likely best. If you do cap the turn, he won't fold, so then will you still just call his river bet? His af is only 0.8, but it seems to me he must be aggressive with these stats. Basically, he is seeing the showdown on 40% of all hands dealt, and raising preflop with nearly one third.

0,8 af is very aggressiv with this vpip and wts :)

he was really aggressiv.. later I saw him playing a 133$ pot (22BB) playing with J-high

I would never fold any river even if I capped the turn (wway to big and he can have KK-JJ which I beat at least every 14 times)

Wow, you want to be playing this guy.

How does pfr of 31 alter what he may raise with BTW?

hmm you are right lol ^^ he can really have 88, 99 and so on...

give him 20pfr with his 3-bet: 66+,A4s+,K8s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,A9o+,KTo+,QTo+,JTo

after the flop cap maybe: 88+,A9s-A8s,K9s-K8s,JTs,A9o,JTo

after turn: 88+,JTs,JTo (53% for him)

and now tell me how he can play AT this way

Hmm. I'm new at this stat reading, but I guess these are his stats for each street?

He is a maniac, that's all. If he really had AT, he gets his straight, and you get a heartache, but he is still a moron. He calls a flop cap with A high, and 3 bets the turn with an OESD when he really should have called the raise only at best I think, and this draw then completes on the river. He would do the same, as you noted, with only J high and no draws. Luck like this will keep him coming back to return all his winnings anyhow, and all his bankroll as well. Capping the turn would have to be correct, blowing his odds right out, but given the possibility that he specifically could have a T, just calling the river would be correct as well, I guess. Unless at any point postflop you could have put him on JT, he was just wrong.

Where can I get a proper indication of what spread of hands would be included in 31% of all possible hands?

I just made that by myself with a bit looking what he can play this way :)
pokerstove is the programm you mean (google or technic section)

and of course he played it wrong (thats what nearly every maniac does ^^)

only my starting post should be considered while rating this hand. everything else doesn't matter (I didn't knew he overplays his hands that badly. I knew that after this hand and exspecially afterthe J-high thing)

please don't say cap the turn because you know now what he have had or fold the river ;) (thats impossible)

Normally I would post this hand into the badbeat thread but because we don't have such a thing here I do it here and maybe I see a mistake in my play (I played a few hand worse than this today)

btw please don't get me wrong (my english isn't very well and missunderstandings will happen very fast)

You could never fold this river because of the size of the pot. I wasn't suggesting that at all. :) Also, you would be favourite to win, given the cards. But a call would be correct because of his aggression, and the possibility of his holding having given him the nuts.

I'll have to set Poker Stove up and check out what it does for myself.

Against a maniac i think you can cap the turn and call the river. The more passive he is, the more your calldown line becomes better.
