Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($10)
UTG+1 ($8.05)
MP1 ($9.25)
MP2 ($12.50)
Hero (CO) ($21.09)
Button ($11.23)
SB ($5.49)
BB ($3.90)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, K
UTG bets $0.35, 2 folds, MP2 calls $0.35, Hero raises to $1.50, 3 folds, UTG raises to $10 (All-In), 2 folds

Total pot: $3.50 | Rake: $0

im in two minds on whether i should call 100bb pre flop with AKo at this level. only 10hands on UTG raiser so no reads on his range.

advice?

I would definitely fold. At smaller limits i.e. 1/2 or even 2/5 it might be ok, although still risky to call shove with AK, as opponents can have any pocket pair and you will desperately need a A or K to turn up.

At these limits probably best to fold.

If you think he holds a pocket pair smaller or equal then QQ, bigger than TT, you have 43% chance of winning.

EV=0.431*20.35-8.5=+0.27$
against any pocket pair small or equal then QQ
EV=0.449*20.35-8.5=+0.65$

If he holds any pocket pair smaller or equal then QQ, on the long run, call is a little EV+.
But if he holds AA or KK, you are dominated, and your EV will decrease to -6$.

So here i think it's better to fold.

A 3bet to 1.1$ is enough.
With out any read I'm mucking this one in FR against an UTG raise/4bet.

thanks heaps. ive had a few spots like this and folded all of them.

1/5 2 mid stacks shoved and overshoved and i folded AKs on the button.

they turned over AT and QTo which made me rage.

but i think folding is still the best option. :/

ps. only reason i made it 1.50 was that someone cold called the initial raise.

thanks!

Midstack are fish, and fish and do stupid things like you said especially when they are on tilt. Against a midstack I usually won't fold unless I have good reason to believe that he isn't 4betting with crap.

Yep I missed the cold call, it's fine then.
