AK should be quite straight forward
Pre-flop i would only consider folding it if there was a
-raise and call
-raise and reraise
-raise by super nitty players (with reads)
Postflop i will only fold if
-i don't hit the board and the opponent bets into me
-against more than 1 opponent and i didn't hit the board, i will play check/fold
Besides that, just bet/shove it.
Just K.I.S.S. should be profitable in the long run. You are only behind vs KK/AA, way ahead vs AQ/AJ/Ax, flip or slight favourite against all other pocket pairs. These would be the card ranges of our opponents, so overall we are good. For example, if you use the equilator, AK is 55% vs the SSS range 77+/AJ+/KQ
For me, i've had about 1k hands with AK after 90k hands. I am up 153BB/100 playing AK aggresively.
