don´t think that c/r turn is bad, since it is so strange move that player with Qx is put very difficult decision. Good players expect to bet there with Qx+ and barrel with all his whole range. If you´re going to check and then c/r- it doesn´t make any sense so I´d expect floats either fold or shove depending on the metagame level.
And I really don´t see why c/c turn sucks, he´d bet there close to 100% if checked. And if he thinks that he can barrel you off then I don´t see any reason why not turn our hand into bluff catcher
name any Qx hand he holds? there is none or close to it.
do you expect him to bet mid pairs on turn? why would he bet?

hm, since we have non information about villain besides he is a tag, my standard line would be: bet flop / c/c turn c/c river.
c/r turn is spew btw unless you have great reads and decent history.

u didnt mention that sb is a fish (or do u mean yourself :f_biggrin: ) . however, seems like a standard spot for bu to bet once its checked to him on that flop w/ a big part of his range.
your "side" questions could fill some books. i cant give general answers here. so much dependent on player/flow/history. but yeah, there are spots where i 2nd barrel this turn (and then 3barrel any river) and i also sometimes c/r this flop w/air (mostly w/ overcards). cuz i expect reg on bu to bet his whole range and if sb/fish then folds its a nice c/r spot. bu has a hard time on turn and river with random ocs or mid pockets.
as played this hand is almost impossible to judge imo w/o specific reads on villain, your table image, table flow in general etc. if u played in aggro style on that table u can vbet this river safely. if not, your line looks fine. oop just sucks
