anyone have any experience with statistical analysis of hand samples with excel?

im trying to figure out using a sample range, how often i get my chips in with >50% equity and lose. then test it with >60% >70% etc. to try find out the percentage of 'bad beats' im getting.

holdem manager allows me to import all of the stats which i would assume you need for this type of analysis. im just having trouble thinking conceptually which statistical analysis would best represent what im trying to find out.

can any stats geeks help me out?

Hi there,

I believe that there is a very easy way to do what you are looking for -> the EV line , which shows you your actual winnings and the expected value of winnings (that is calculated as amount of chips in the pot multiplied by your probability of winning .. I believe poker tracker has this feature

If you try to to that in excel it is of course possible, however you need to know what is the percentage of you winning , which is not that easy to calculate in excel

Hope it was a bit helful :f_grin:
