I understand how this is calculated for cash games, every hand is a new situation. But how does it work for MTT's/SNG's? I mean there can be 4 or 5 big key hands which decide how your tournament goes in a SNG, it just seems impossible to me. Even with cash games there is some guestimation involved.

I'm not sure... possibly it uses ICM to give $ value to your stack
