imo u made mistake with ur opening raise first u got to open raise it little bigger like min 5k - 6k or open shove here.
if u open raise it like 5,5k after his shove ur geting good odds to call
a i like to open shove in this situations with stack small like urs with 55-TT 80-90% of time, 10-15% i'm raising to 2,5bb and then shoving on any flop (this i like to do when table is tight and my image is tight too) and 5-10% of time i fold with 55-77 in UTG UTG+1

then you wont have this option anymore. i would shove here AK, AQ 77+ so my opponents cannot read my hand.
as played i think you have to call
there is so much money in the pot and MP1 might shove somehting like AJ+, 66+ so your not dead in any meanings.
you need to dubble up so take the chance.
if you raise you cant fold anymore but i would just openshove the hand.
