I've been grinding FL for a while and I have had mediocre results to say the least. I'm definately still going to put in the time to learn this format because I want to know I can beat it and all the time I put into it is not a waste. But, it's really hard to get a good winrate. If you become a really good player you can expect 2BB/100H, which is okay if you multi table and you can maintain that winrate multitabling but it's not amazing. I feel like switching gears and trying a new format. I'll still learn FL, but I get way too discouraged trying to grind FL.
What I would like to know is if there is a thread somewhere comparing the different poker games? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each format? Which format is the easiest to learn? Which format has the worst players? I just learned how to play Omaha and I played a few hundred hands on play money (play money games mean little more than just learning the rules of the game) and this game seems really fun. There is an article that says that you can make 10BB/100H! It also says that the variance is really high,... but at that kind of winrate, is it not better to start with PLO? Also, I'd like to know what NL is like,...
