I was wondering if entering the video or strategy section for a while and then leaving will mark the new forum posts as read for me?

Hi Brood,
It shouldn't as far as I know. Forum posts are unconnected to video/strategy sections and will remain unread (yellow) until you physically visit each one (greyed out).
The "last posts" selection I think records your last time you appeared in the forum and so likewise shouldn't be affected by your last visits to videos/strategy either, but I'm not 100% sure of this last point.
