I installed the Elephant about a week or so ago and it has stopped functioning with the error message:
"PokerStrategy Elephant has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the incovenience."
whenever I try to start the software.
I uninstalled and reinstalled both the elephant and postgres but this did not fix the problem.
Any ideas?

make sure you deinstalled the elephant correctly. Also make sure there are no files or folders left!
When using vista, please install the elephant / postgreSQL as admin.
I am on XP. I uninstalled from the control panel remove programs. I deleted the remnants of the pokerstrategy folder from the program files folder. Rebooted. Reinstalled. Same problem.
Strange.............this usually a Vista issue.
Go to the Holdem Manager web page, they have FAQ's dealing with posrgreSQL problems.
