Is it possible to bet $17.50 on the flop leaving $17.50 to call off to win $82.50?
You would have odds to call with possibly high cards (against say KQ, AJ), and two overcards.

I'm thinking a lot about these type of hands lately.. is my reasoning correct?

You have initiative and get fold equity.
The medium bet might make a worse hand (at least by the river) call
It might make a better hand (maybe 88, 77) fold
You get no information from a check.
You might have the best hand and be betting for value
You might want to protect against possible draws (e.g. KQ)
You have odds to call a push

if you think he can fold there some pair then I think shoving flop seems best play on the flop with fold equity and overcards
River should be fold, he has no reason to bet out himself as a bluff, so it is likely valuebet, but to get information why villain calls 4-bets oop is likely fine and sometimes you may be ahead against AQ/AJ
