Well the J is quite a good card to barrel on, it is true. It's hard to say in the abstract, though without more information about your opponent. Do you know what kind of hands he has at showdown?

If you have seen him go to showdown with only A high then maybe we can bet again. But if he is passive we maybe able to check it down and see a free showdown when we will sometimes be ahead - and we can sometimes hit one of our 6 outs on the river...

Hi,

The J actually isn't such a good card in relation to the board, it connects well with the most common draws and 9x 8x hands out there, giving your seemingly loose opponent a top pair or a pair+gutshot type of hand quite often, which he won't fold to another bet. I wouldn't bet again with knowing more about the player.

Also you're not forced to c-bet those textured boards with AK-high either to begin with, especially after that hand as it looks like this guys isn't really into folding. First time is always fine to c-bet tho.
