0.5/1 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Elephant 0.69 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 9♣, 9♦
2 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, 2 folds, CO raises to $7.00, 4 folds, CO gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $9.50

Thoughts:
:diamond: Openraise is standard with 99 in MP1. I had no reads on the players behind me to consider doing anything different.
:club: CO then (min)-3bets. My stack:bet ratio is not low enough to consider shoving outright. A call leaves me in awkward situations OOP postflop. A fold is the only option here?

nice hand; it sucks to fold this pf but our stack is too big to shove vs unknown and we're too often behind here to call.

I hate folding to minraises myself, folding gives amazing risk reward:ratio for the villian. 3:4 in this case.

Dont have any good advice though....

Without reads on your opponent you ought to fold. Keep an eye on him to see if he makes such moves often and you'll soon be able to adapt to it ;)

Hey Smileyphil,

after 10 hands there's not much you can do beside to fold. Fish love to minraise their monsters. However, I would note that down and if he keeps doing so you'll bust him soon enough.
