Hello.

First time posting here, so inform me if I have done anything wrong!

I would like your opinion wether or not I played the hand good.. When MP shoved I was calling of course. But then SB just calls.. I was frustrated that he might have a big pair and the blinds were very small, so I fold.. Of course when I saw his hand I was in pain.

Hi fluffykiller!

you posted the hand perfectly well done!

Did you have any reads on either of these players? also what buy in level is this game?

If you have no reads and this is micro stakes i think i like pushing over the cold call because as you have seen players can call very loose and you have a dominating hand often enough.

It is not a big mistake to fold in situations like this because you dont want to be in a race this early for your entire stack. so i think either the call or the fold is fine here.

remember sometimes your AK will still get sucked out on. I sometimes like folding and finding clearer spots to get my money all in.

I think im shoving JJ+ without any hesitation :)

Well here i preffer folding to calling. I really hate AK, cause they get sucked out once too often. And in a all-in situation, you're pretty often against pocket pairs, at these limits it can be even 22+. And i hate to have a coinflip with AK against any pocket pair. Plus it's early in the game, so theres no shame in folding.

exactly, i dont mind either here. make sure to take notes on your opponents so you know if they are calling this loose.

No I did not have much of a read on any of them, so I decided I would play it safe and see what they had. It was a $3 normal SNG.

From now on I will start taking notes :)!

Thanks for the comments!

With these blinds I don't mind folding either. I think I shove JJ+.

Hi all,

This is why I hate it when people read into the betsizing. It really really means very little! Treat it as if your opponent's shoved! (this goes for everyone in the thread btw :P).

As for the hand itself I would fold. Blinds are small and their ranges are pretty tight.
