Lost my entire br on this corrupt game (only like $45)

In the history column i notice the last 3 results were black and odd

I place 3 continuation bets on red and even and lost every spin.

So a total of 6 spins in arow landed on black/even.Im far from being a mathematician but i know the odds of this happening are just ridculous lol

Guess this is just another reason why i hate ipoker

would be cool if someone could calculate the odds for me

first of all, huge facepalm at seeing this title.. this isnt a gambling site and shame you lost your free $ you could have started your poker career playing $15 bets, when have 3, I can't see how this could possibly be a good idea.

second of all the 3 previous spins have nothing to do with the next 3 spins... theres no reason its more likely to land on red even, if for the last 10 spins it had been black odd or last 10 spins red even. the Probability of an event doesn't depend on past events.

I believe its about a 1.5% chance that you lose the three spins, not a huge deal to happen.

Why would you risk your br on a game you can't control, as opposed to poker where you can have an edge?
Ok, so not a substantial sum, but I'm sure you could've grown that into a nice little sum on poker?

In case it helps, after 5x spins on black, the odds of being black again are 50% (slightly less due to the green zero). Same with even/odd.
The odds after 52x spins on black are...... yep 50%. It's a coin flip, it always is. Coin flips/cards/roulette wheels have no memory.

Stick to poker my friend and rebuild up, we all have faith in your poker abilities.

Good luck & best regards,

Bart

maybe google and look for a roulette forum instead!!!

Currently have $500+ on 3 other sites.

$45 was just the last on ipoker.

I play Roulette at the casino and never seen anything like it.

Poker is most definitely a form of gambling

Just cuz its on a different site it makes it different? you still pissed away 1/11th of your BR.

theres more than a 1/100th chance, if you've never seen that happen you must not have played too many times

and theres no way you can POSSIBLY compare poker to roulette. If you really think thats the case please sir sit at my table

I have never compared roulette to poker.

You are right that i havent played roulette that many times (dozen or so sessions)

made a profit on every poker site that i have played on including ipoker(except pacific, which i think is slightly dodgy)

I take poker incredibly seriously,to point where im planing on paying for live coaching to fix my leaks up.

As stupid as it sounds I would never play roulette online. Its fun to play live and I have done quite well at it (luck I know) but you are playing against the house and that just scares me online.

Stick with poker, you are doing something right.

what does this have to do with absolutely anything i said?
[ ] any relevance

I don't get it: when you lose at roulette - it's rigged? meaning when you win - it's skill?

made a profit on every poker site that i have played on including ipoker(except pacific, which i think is slightly dodgy)

This problem can be solved by reviewing your game. Losing does not mean something is rigged.

Just take all what you've got left and put it all on red again imo.

Well... you stated below that you've been to casino only 12 times.

I've been a croupier on a roulette table for a while and my personal "record" is hitting same color 17 times in a row and the same number 3 times, but I've seen much worse.

I've also played on roulette quite often and there are some tactics that can improve your odds or to put it better - maximize winnings and minimize loses, but in the end it's still gambling. I've made couple of hunders of euros on roulette but it doesn't really interest me anymore. The last time I was in a casino a month ago (waiting for a friend to finish a poker tourney of which I busted out before him...) I only gambled black/red as it gives me enough excitement to lose those few EUR. :)

This just sums it up, he just doesn't have enough experience and his brain is telling him that there must be some sort of pattern when theres actually nothing there

You can test it for yourself... go use google and look up some of those free no deposit casino rolls and gamble away you will see...

I study math, and can tell you that the odds of you loosing a bet by putting it on red or black is about 50%, regardless of how many black, red or green as been there in the past. The roulette table DOES NOT have a memory. "The online table might though :P but what you're saying there doesn't proove it's rigged by any means.

It's called "Gambler's Fallacy", look it up it'll explain why you lost your bankroll. BTW, no matter what game you're gambling at you should always use BRM.

Just because you have like 90% chance of winning, doesn't mean you deffinetely will. It only means that one out of ten times you'll loose. Which is not that uncommon compared to natures other randomness.

Cheers.

Three red/even's in a row: (9 / 37)^3 = 0.014

Shit happens. And stay away from that thing, it's the devil's game. _evil:
