i had a situation withc is made me think...
i played a 5$ tourney with 666 player went into the money and it happend at 68th place.
i just doubled up to avarege chips when an utg+2 open shaves 10 BB
i had 18 BB with AKo, i made a call and find AJs and he cathc a J on the turn...
i was crippled and got busted short after that...
was it a mistake to call as i just got back some chips or this was the final table or nothing move?
this wasnt final table or nothing move u r avg stack and there 60+ players more left. if u win this hand ur not buying ur self a ticket to FT but ur chances increase u'll get 2xavg stack which is always good
and yes snap call 24/7 in that spot (reshoving if there are players behind u)
you are a long way from FT my friend, shouldnt even be thinking about it at this stage imo.
AK in BB against an open shove with less than 10 BB is an instacall / reshove for me, you are just way ahead of villains range and if you lay down, might as well turn off your computer at same time and go to bed!
no matter if its final table, first round or any other stage.,
if somebody with 10BB shoves and i have AK, i just reraise all in.
