Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($591)
BB ($90.77)
Hero ($214)
CO ($132)
BTN ($137)

Dealt to Hero J♠ J♣

BTN raises to $3, fold, fold, Hero calls $2.50, CO raises to $11, BTN calls $8, Hero calls $8

FLOP ($33) 4♥ 3♥ 5♦

Hero checks, CO bets $18, BTN folds, Hero calls $18

TURN ($69) 4♥ 3♥ 5♦ 3♣

Hero checks, CO bets $103 (AI), Hero calls $103

RIVER ($276) 4♥ 3♥ 5♦ 3♣ 2♠

I decided to not 3beting tight UTG raiser (obet fr UTG 10%), CO is Lagy player 24/20 and sqz 15% but in this scenerio probably not do this loose, so what do you think 3 on turn is a good hand for him so if he had overpair like KK, AA why he bets so big on turn?

why is his bet on turn so big? : coz he has ntg left on river if u call anyways, so is comitted, obv. so standard

this is a clear example where abc play style creates a lot of incredibly difficult spots. there are some lines as alternatives:

1, 4bet his sqeeze and get it in is for sure +ev vs his range , if utg was very strong he mostly 4bets himself so we mostly have the best hand here and he can level himself into stacking off with worse pp for sure.

2, postflop: c/r flop is deffo better in your spot, coz there are many cards that ruin your hand and he still can stack off there with lower pps putting u on some oesd or fd , on turn you can either b small/c vs him or c/c as u did, this would in my eyes depend on his cb on turn. with a tell i can go for "weak" b small and even fold on turn line, but for this u should have your opponent well analysed.

conclusion: u surely didnt play this hand badly, but its highly questionable if u want to continue playing like this, coz u are not posing any problems for your oposion oop and u ll be getting valuetowned everytime. And thats why actually if i knew in your shoes he knows i play like u did /which i dont/ than i might be leaning towards actually b/f or even c/f coz in longterm vs thinking lag u re just playing inferiorly.

ofc if he s a berserk lag, your line is perfectly fine.
