check behind on the turn or bet/call turn?
Now, I think a check behind on the turn is better but than I have the problem with the river which I want to call but, I think, I shouldn't if I make the check behind on the turn :(

1) At least call the turn witha gutshot + twopair/trip outs + chance being ahead. All alone are worth not much and many outs will be dirty and often you don't know if you are ahead if you improve (I mean mostly twopair and trip outs because alltogether be discounted they are worth around 1 out)
But 5 outs (m,aybe 4 because of split chance etc etc) is enough in a 10.25:1 pot :)

2) I like it because you can fold to any raise against this guy. You beat a fd and a 2 and because of that the river is c/f ;)

3) Lol I hate it too... on this flop I check behind too because I see no hand that you beat which he 3-bets preflop.
I think I would only call the turn and river because if he has you beat you get 3-bet and if you are ahead (most likly vs pps TT-KK) they may fold.
If you raised the turn and he donks the river you can't do anything else than calling.

4) With BB ccoldcalling I see no sense in 3-betting oop. With only bdsd and bdfd + setout even the call is close and fold wouldn't be a big mistake because you never know if you are still ahead on the turn if an overcrd comes. (which is very likely with 55 ^^)
Of course you fold sometimes the best hand but here its very unlikely because of BB coldcalling (both having the fd is very rare)

5) Hmm interesting hand. First I though that because you have no sd value and have to fold to any riverbet a check on the turn is wrong. But with the 2 :club: its very unlikely that he folds a 5 or 7 which will you loose to on the river anyway so a check might be very nice here indeed.

Can you write down your thoughts about my thinking?

1) My problem is here that I'm a little bit pessimistic and see the possibility that I'm drawing only to a split because if someone has a J, I can't win this pot without a split. The other problem is that CO is behind me and I have no real information about his hand because I capped it on the flop and he called it. SO I fear that I call the turnbet and he raises behind me and I have the same dirty situation with very few outs with the possibility to draw to a split.
All in all, this hand confuses me a lot ^^

2) Ok, that's good :)
My problem is often that I felt in love with this pot and play the river check/call, although, I know I'm beat. But with your comment in mind, I try to fold this ^^

3) I see, the call on the turn has more value than this raise. So, should I see this situation as a WA/WB and play it like that?

What would you do if the 9 of spade is an A of spade and he checks? I would bet and would calldown if he check/raises me on the flop.

4) When I sit down and see this hand, I have no idea what the optimal play would be.
When I played it, I thought that I can play the 55 very aggressive to make them thinking that I have an overpair or even better. I hoped that I can kick out a 9 with my aggressiv play and get my value against a flushdraw.
And with this action I have an easier play on the turn. If BB donks, I can fold and otherwise I bet/fold the turn. If I only call the flop, the decision on the turn is very difficult to me.
But as you said, the next time I fold it directly on the flop to avoid such difficult situations.

5) But a check behind on the turn and fold on the river seems to me too weak, especially when I think that he is able to bluffbet the river. But the real problem is, what did he call on the flop? There is no hand, he calls on that flop which I can beat. So, perhaps the check behind and fold to a riverbet wouldn't be weak, it would be intelligent. But I don't know :(

1) That's true and if you fear a raise from CO I'm not sure anymopre if the call is correct.
With the split thing.. I think there are 3 possibilities:

a) He has AJ and you aare beaten andf the best is a split.
b) He has Just a J and you beat him on the river if you hit.
c) He doesn't have a J but an A and you are ahead atm + a J would be a split.

So I think the fear of a split shouldn't be that bigbecause if you split you are often ahead and if not you often don't split... I could be wrong anyway :/

3) Correct thats wa/wb for me. Ace on the flop = like you said.

4) Interesting idea but I think it won't work often enough to be worth it. (+ they can hit too and it has to work even more often)

5) Yes it looks weak and I hate this too (table image is bad after such a fold too) but I see nearly no fold equity here and even if he is capable to bluff you can't it with Q-high.
