Hello fellow PokerStrategists!

Today we bring you another Fixed Limit quiz called "Made Hands on Ugly Boards".

Ugly spots: nobody likes them, but every successful player has to learn how to deal with them in the most profitable way. When can you give up a made hand on a very drawy board - and when shouldn't you?

Draw-heavy boards open the doors for all kinds of aggressive bluffs or semi-bluffs, so it's really hard to let go of your made hands. There are, however, situations where you just donate your money to the opponent if you miss the window of opportunity to get out of the hand.

As is often the case, you have to find the right balance - it's crucial to learn when to hold on and when to let go. In order to do this, you have to get the right feeling for equity and you need to improve your hand reading capability.

All of this is irrelevant if you can't classify your opponent's type, though - you have to put the reads and stats to use in order to make the correct assessement. When you put all of these pieces together, you will have the ability to navigate through even the most difficult spots.

Do you want to know where you stand?

let's see if I can do better than 8/22

17/22 shit I'm good.

15/22... Would appreciate some explanation on the stats though.

(28/22/2.1/42) --> VP$IP / ?? / AF / WTS if I guessed right, but I still can't quite figure out what the second value stands for...

the all spade board with middle pair is better to fold imo. I'm just upset about it. if you bet/call or check/call what will you do on the turn? call again? i'm just thinking like platinum members :))))) jst kidding

In my (somewhat limited) experience, there is a scary number of dudes playing FL on NL. Especially in calling down with the unpaired nuts and a 6 hi FD.

Therefore, this quiz should be just as worthwhile for you NL tragics out there. :f_p:
