Hi,
did I play this hand right?

Final Table SNG; 30players started, top six players are rewarded

Blinds 400/800, antes 100, 10players

Hero (BU/10000): 2h2s (image to other players: tight aggressive)
SB (1000)
BB (about 12000), rather loose aggressive

Pot: 2200

7 players fold, Hero raises to 2000.

SB calls, BB folds

The call of the SB was predictable which makes me a 55-45 favorite or a huge underdog if facing a higher pair. A call of the SB gives good odds to the BB which would have made it quite difficult to play 22 postflop. So, should I have just folded the hand?

Raise is good... Because it says you want to be heads up, where you are more than a 50% to win, you only need to dodge two over cards, where if the BB could just check with 83 Or any garbage hand... You'll be vs four over cards, and you have less a chance of dodging four than two cards :)

Even if BB calls, thats fine, because for the most part, you both will play either allin on flop, or check it down, since your trying to eliminate the Allin player...

thanks for the answer. I appreciate it. I played the hand in my first live tournament at a casino. when I showed down the 22 some experienced players looked sceptical and started talking. So I thought I might have made a mistake...

Some people may just call, then take the SB down 2v1, and play fit or fold on the flop... But the aggressive way (and I think smarter way) Is the way you played it...
