Is this line ok, I'd probably fold to a bigger bet on the river though.

imo it´s fine to play it like that but on such a drawless board i often like to play c/c flop as well. you don´t have to protect and maybe you can collect some bluffbets from hands like QJ etc.. furthermore you can balance your checks with hands like AK, AQ or sets here.

I call this river every time and I have never seen anything else then these close valuebets with Ax but I just can't fold. :f_cry:

You lost the minimum realistically possible. I still prefer to cbet. If we aim to bluff catch and miss out our normal cbet, it leaves a problem of how many streets we should call. I.e. if villain bets the turn as well we still don't know if we're ahead.

By betting an Axx bd we get many hands to fold and (in theory) we can decide to invest no more money in the hand if we're called.
