The BTN is a 10/8/13.0 over 562 hands, hes a 20tabling regular
BTN steal 43% ,Cbet 83%

Question Nr 1: is it a shove preflop or is calling ok?
Question Nr 2: is checking the flop ok, or would leading out be better? Can we call if he shoves over our raise?

Any opinions appreciated

This is a DON, which is different from ordinary, but heres my opinion.

Shove is better than call preflop. Against this reg, fold is probably best. It is way too early to be risking stacks with marginal hands. You are crushed by anything that will call your shove.

Once you check/raise, you can't fold for what you have left. So either check/shove, again probably not good, or bet/fold, also probably not good, but better than check/raise.

The problem with calling preflop, even though the odds are good, is exactly this kind of flop, where you have TP, but really don't know how good you are against him.

you should be shoving pre flop over raises with <20bb so its a shove pre or fold for me.

against the player you described its a shove for me. but i only play regular SnGs not DoN :)

as played. check raise shove the flop is best line

Hi all,

Looks like a shove pre but you should wait for Jaroz ;).

Well it should be really a shove or fold preflop. In a DoN we don't want to take marginal postflop situations and we only hit the flop in 1/3 of all cases.
So against a BU who is stealing 42% and minraising our BB I will just shove here. We want maximum Foldequity and against his range KQo is well ahead even if he is raise/calling some % of hands here.

As played I will probably c/r allin on this board because we can get all cbet bluffs and just shove for value. Folding on this board is out of question of course.

Thx for the answers, another lesson learned _cool:

In DON all game about pushbot. So u have to push KQ preflop, u can`t call because u`r out of position.
So here is a choice fold or push preflop. I think fold muck better we have 15 big blinds that`s enough =)
