Yes. That's my answer.

It depends of your skill and the skill of your opponents.
On $1 SNG it should be no problem for a skilled player, on a $100 SNG it is completely impossible.

The rake is huge, yes, but the players are soooo incredibly horrible. At the 5$ BI level i started to find ANY SORT OF profitable players...

I'm not sure if it was because of the rake or because my knowledge about the game evolved, but i've spent a looot more time at the 2$ level (20%rake) than on the other levels (huge 1 month jump from 2$ to 10$ almost bankroll for 20$).

So it may go slow but you can beat them with basic strategy.
