Stacks:
UTG (13,093)
Hero (19,555)
MP1 (55,813)
MP2 (52,252)
MP3 (24,310)
CO (16,954)
BTN (48,391)
SB (13,890)
BB (25,798)

Blinds: 300/600 Ante 70

Pre-Flop: (1,530, 9 players) Hero is UTG+1 9♥ 9♦
UTG says "tens", 1 fold, Hero raises to 1,800, 6 folds, BB calls 1,200

Flop: 8♥ 9♠ 3♥ (4,530, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 2,400, BB calls 2,400

(pot odds 2,89:1; flush draw odds 4,2:1)

Turn: 4♠ (9,330, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 5,400, BB calls 5,400

(pot odds 2,73:1; flush draw odds 4,1:1)

River: 7♥ (20,130, 2 players)
BB bets 4,200, Hero calls 4,200

Final Pot: 28,530
Hero shows
9♥ 9♦
BB shows a flush, Ace high
5♥ A♥

BB wins 28,530 (net +14,660)

Hero lost 13,870

(Actually his odds were even lower, since I got 9 , and 4  would give me a full house)

To chase a draw: to call any bet to see the next card for a draw, no matter how large the bet is and the pot odds.

Should I bet higher, or 1/2 pot size is enough?

definetly bet the flop bigger, keep in mind that if he has a draw you can only get value until the turn. bet bigger the flop to ship the turn with a half pot bet

what he said +1. if he is a calling station you can just bet potsize all the way for value ..

edit: mind you that if you pay him off when he hits his flush he does have some implied odds. also if you are sure about your read you can even fold the river

+++++++
3500 will be mine min standard Cbet with that action preflop ( i will open raise 1500 and than vs 1 caller i'll Cbet 2800 -> pot then will be something like ~3900-4500) on turn u got to bet way biger he calls on flop so he have peace of the flop so u got to make him pay u for drawing, i'll bet 7500 on turn with that pot size.
i think ur betting size is good for big buy ins live MTT, but 11$MTT on line NO, bet bigger.
and btw when u play that way and that river came u got to let go ur top set, i know is hard but u cant beat anything there specialy vs pasiv caling station JT is str8, and flush gets in too so every draw complete that 7  is worse card

against a calling station on such a borad, you should bet between 3/4 and 1/1 of the pot for value.
such small bets are not very good against calling stations, you just lose value.
if they have something like a draw or a pair they will call 3/4 of the pot.
so bet bigger.
on the river its hard to find a fold with 6:1 odds.
