I still think I'm fish when it comes to poker. But yeah, I managed to win live poker tournament in Bratislava last month so I have enough money to start again.

I decided to use JuiceQuadre's VoI system (hope it's still not under some copyright or something ), but I'll upgrade it a little bit for myself if that's ok.

My poker money is still somewhere between my bank acc&moneybookers acc so I can't write anything about my game,thoughts or anything poker related yet. The only thing I can write is that I'll start small again and my goals won't be winrate&profit but correct decisions&no tilt&good BRM.

it's time for little update.

I moved my BR to FT 2 days ago and I started to throw away money on NLHE 6max and PLO 6max. Few buy-ins later I realized this is not the right way so I moved back to variety I know how to play - FR.

I didn't have much money to deposit so right now I play NL10. That should change soon as I had decent winrate before and I'm going to play a lot after thursday (last exam at UNI).

I also have one exam tomorow so I managed to play only 1.5k hands last two days. Hovewer my winrate is quite good 15bb/100 do I'm up little more than two BI. I feel confident I can beat NL10 in no time

I also booked tickets to Brusel with some friends. We'll be there from 4.3 to 8.3 so if someone wants to join us and visit some sick parties just write here

This is all from me now. I'll post again after I played 5k (graph&whatever).

Hey guys,

it didn't take that much time to play 5k hands as I thought it will. So here are my thoughts,graph and other stuff:

After some discussions with TLN I decided to move up to NL100 as fast as possible so I'm going to use quite agressive BRM:

move up to NL25 when I have 14-15 BI for it (~ 350$-375$)
move back down to NL10 when I have only 20BI for it (~ 200$)

move up to NL50 when I have 17-20 BI for it (~ 850$-100$)
move back down to NL25 when I have only 20BI for it (~500$)

move up to NL100 when I have min 20 BI for it (2k$), stay there,
play a lot, improve my game exponentially and eventually
move up when I feel confident enough (and am rolled for it)

Of course I'm going to improve my game at all times but my winrate is quite OK and there are lots of fishes on NL10->NL100 so I don't really feel any pressure to study poker every day for hours.

Now for some poker info:

After 5k hands on NL10 I hit bankroll needed to move up to NL25 so I shipped one short session to get the feel for the limit,get used to betting sizes and stuff. It went pretty well -> 1 BI up + 1BI below EV. So in next two days I'm going to play another short sessions on NL25 and if I run good I'll definitely move up

My superaggro BRM trip to NL100 is not going to be as fast as I thought

Right after I moved to NL25 I lost 4 BI (behind EV ofc) in few hands so I moved back to NL10 and started to grind. Nothing serious but it made me change my opinion about improving my game in process of this trip.

So here's the new rule. I have to get at least 200 VoI on each limit before moving. I also changed my BRM requirements for moving up to min 20 BI to avoid moving down again (yeah I'm fish).

To get my BR&VoI I decided to make a little challenge for myself:

From 1st FEB to 14th FEB I'll have to get at least 15 VoI per day and play at least 10k hands. This should get my total VoI to 210 and hopefully my BR to 500$+. Success in this challenge is mandatory.

I'll post update on 7th/8th FEB and on the end of challenge.

Great challenge! Im sure such challenges keeps us motivated. And theres nothing better than when you are motivated to improve!

15VoI/day is a reall nice number. I hope it will be doable. (It is, but since im so lazy im sure i would fail :/ )

gl, btw: good that u are flexible in the mindset abt your br. thats just 1 of the most important poker skills in general. moving up/down quickly esp in first steps in poker i view as absolutely crucial.

it's time to give you some update about my challenge.
It's going quite ok, but I didn't play as many hands as I'd like to. Guess I'll have to grind it this week. I also changed the date of finish of the challenge coz I wasn't able to play/study at friday(afternoon)/saturday (morning). New date is 15.2.FEB. My classmate from high school became father two weeks ago so we had to celebrate it with my classmates this weekend.

I managed to get 124 VoI last 7 days which is pretty sick. I'm also already rolled for NL25 (20BI+) so as soon as I get 200 VoI I'm going to take a shot at it. As TLN said I don't have any problem with moving up/moving and I feel I'm beating NL10 hard.

Hello guys,

after two months I decided to ressurect my blog and start some really crazy action.

So what's happned in last two months?
I didn't play as much as I'd like because of exam period in school and some sick parties. After I finished my VoI/hands (win obv.) I moved to NL25. It didn't take me long and I moved up to NL50 with not that aggressive BRM. I started to play SH along the way. Last two weeks I didn't play at all (just some NL2/5,PLO5 with rakeback money) coz moneybookers locked my account with my whole BR there.

So here I am playing NL25/50 (SH/FR) and I have new goals too. Main goal is that I want to start to play HU cash asap. The lowest limit on my main site (FTP) is NL50 and NL20 on Ipoker. I'm still deciding wheter to move to Ipoker to play HU there (the rake is killer there). Guess I'll stil to FR/SH & RUSH till I hit $2.5k roll and then start NL50.

Long term goal is to own HU world obv

I used to have a problem with tilt/insta cashier,HEM checking and all the stuff like this. All I have to say about this after few sick sessions @ NL25SH you will learn that 5BI swings is nothing :f_biggrin:. Watching Tommy Angelo's mindset series helps too.

I'm going to have few hours of coachings with caltabiano very soon and I'm looking forward to it

time for short update. After playing few "k" HU hands on NL20 (ownage) @ Ipoker I decided to move back to FTP to play NL50HU.

I'm not quite rolled for it but I think I have at least small edge on guys there and I'm willing to move down (FR/SH in this case) anytime I get under $1k.

Anyone playing the same limit (+-1) for study grp or something?

Anyway, here is the graph of my first two days on NL50HU. heater obv. last 200-300 hundred hands were really crazy. I just sat down at shortstacks tables and couldn't lose. Truth is they were stacking off with ubelievable holdings (undercards on AKKr)

Also I want to ask what is normal 3bet percentage in HU? I have ~10 now. Not sure if that's optimal (depends on opponent a lot tho).
