my sampelsize on him was too small, otherwise id like to call and shove any hit or flush on check. He had 30 left into 50 pot ?

don´t really like that plan
You don´t get too good odds, it is very possible that he holds flushdraw himself, so you can´t be even sure that your 8 outs are clean
Fold seem better there
Or if you think player is going to b/f with overpair and draws then shove turn

I thought if he checks the river he is most likely c/f and he would not c/c the river with made flush

yes, he may c/f river with overpair when flush hits, but at the same time, he can also turn his hand into bluff catcher and c/c
Since you can´t really be certain that he´d choose one option to another I think best is play standard game and fold to his turn bet
