[Closed] J8 BB, 2 pair on flop

I would always bet this flop, get value from other Jx hands, 8x hands if they want to play. I think if no-one comes along on this flop, there is no shame in taking it down right there.

When BTN effectively minraises after a bettor AND a caller on the turn, he is repping strength. Given that two people can act after him, he really has to have that strength. This isn't aggressive, it is fishy. An aggressive play with a draw here would be a shove. I don't know what it is, but it isn't really going to be worse than two pair. Maybe 9T for the straight. He has donked off 1/3 of his stack by this blind level, so he can have any two cards here, he is a fish.

So, if it is 2 pair, then some QJ, Q8 hand. A straight with 9T. A flopped set which looks for value now. I don't see him doing this with TP or a draw. So shoving the turn isn't protecting against a draw in my opinion, just valuetowning yourself against better hands, and TP is unlikely.

Believe him and fold?

As played turn looks good, should be plenty hands you beat in his range.
You're way ahead vs straight draws at this point so shipping it in vs those is heavily +EV

Hmm I don't mind betting the flop, but I usually C/R or C/C here.

@acid, I think you give BU way to much credit here, esp. when you think about his preflop limp with Q2o, then his postflop play can't be that strong to think about an fold here.
