Hi,

I think bet/folding and check/calling ought to be pretty close against that guy on that river, he could have 55-66/7x but not call a third bet with it, he likely calls with 8x/99 but he doesn't have as many of these. While on the other hand he probably has a good amount of busted diamonds that he might or might not bluff with, if you've seen him be aggressive with weak hands on the river before bluff-catching is fine.

Result-wise he just got very lucky after playing it horribly, make a note on him that he peels overcards on the flop and bet half pot with the effective rivered nuts. Then you can c-bet for value a lot wider on most flops, and be very suspicious if he happens to bet pot on the river when he can have busted draws.
