Is there a way to synchronise an existing account that you regularly use and dont need the starting capital on? I looked on pokerstars and the "Information Sharing" is no longer there.

Nope 
You have to open your account directly through pokerstrategy. Doesn't matter if you want the starting capital or not, doesn't matter if it's just playmoney....
Well, at least for all the big platforms like FT, stars or party...don't know exactly about smaller ones.
Hello iRycn,
PokerStars do not allow re-tracking of pre-existing accounts so you will not be able to earn StrategyPoints from ourselves if the account was open before you became a member of PokerStrategy.
