last 3 players in a tournament-266$ for first,159$ for second,98$ for third

lots of chips to play with blinds 800-1600-had some reads on my opponents and the way this hand he played made me play it tight-the preflop bet that he put was uncomon for the previous hands that he played-so i decided to play tight my pok QQ

please explain mister...doh

I'm guessing randomdonk has taken issue with the way you have played this hand... He's probably on a bad run himself, which adds to the frustration.

I would have raised with qq. I never like slow playing qq...

Ok you called, But once you got the raise behind you, I think you should be re-raising. You might have taken it down here and saved yourself 20'000 chips, while gaining 8000 more.... You are both relatively deep stacked for this stage of a tournament, there is no need for either to be taking big risks so he could/should be folding 99 to what looks like a trap...

Also I don't like the villains raises after the flop, or your calls...

Hey I'm no expert so I might be wrong, maybe some will let me know...

Hope you don't mind my input.... =)

Congrats on the win by the way!

my thought is that u probably played most hands as badly as the one u posted and still shipped the donkament.

lool-i guess i have to explain my play then-since i told u i had a good read on the villain and he played very solid poker-he was on the button and made a really big raise that was uncomon for his previous play-the last 2 hands he raised that big preflop had aks and qq-sincerly i gave him at least aqs,kk-plus i was out of position-my reraise preflop should've been around 24k which after that big raise preflop he would've called-then what?continuation bet...and with that flop i would've been confortable too...he would've pushed with his set ,me call and badabing badaboom i'm out on a bad beat
the best play from me as a raise should've been all in preflop-but why risk on a coin flip when the ratio stack blinds was so big??is not like i am in the middle phase of the tourny and i need as much chips as possible-poker is not just playing ''like the book say''-it's about adapting to each situation accordingly and play it the right way-in this particular spot qq was not enough-cheers

Ooops Sorry!

AQs+ KK+ is a very odd range. Pretty much agree with what everyone has said thus far. But you must have done something right to come 1st so well done!
