Hi All,
Some of you may remember my original blog, called "Bryans rise to fame". It had some regular readers, whom I apologise to for stopping it abruptly. My life just got too busy to do the daily grind required to attempt to build a decent BR.
I deicided instead, to just play occasionally at whatever form of poker took my fancy, and play one table at a time and focus.
Having decimated my BR as a result, I now realise that you just can't try to be clever against typical opponents encountered at micro stakes. It doesn't work. I would keep getting outdrawn by players who should not have been in the pot at all etc.
For the first time since my first free $50 here, I recently dropped below $50, having once reached the dizzy heights of around $180. I nearly called it a day, and cashed out. Instead I decided, though I am still busy with a full-time job and a part-time business I am working on, I would play whenever I could spare a bit of time, and just go back to the multi-table grind, in the hope that it will eventually work.
I have played a couple of sessions of $2 sng's. One session I failed to cash at all out of 4 tables, but next session I cashed and made a profit, taking my Full Tilt BR to just over $55.
Hence the title of my new blog, a fresh start.
I will try to update after every session, so anyone even remotely interested, can follow my progress from the new beginning.
I have missed some of you guys who used to post regular to me, and you know who you are. I hope to hear from you again soon.
Please also check out my live poker blog I am just about to open, called (not unsurprisingly) "Bryans live poker blog".
All the best
Bryan
