I played this pretty bad I think but I am really not sure what should be my line here

UTG is too aggressive short - 19/19 on ~50 hands
MP is fish
COstandart 18/16 tag

Hero (Button) ($49)
SB ($40.25)
BB ($13.25)
UTG ($11.50)
MP ($17.95)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, J
UTG bets $1.50, MP calls $1.50, CO calls $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($6.75) 10, 10, A (4 players)
UTG bets $10 (All-In), 2 folds, Hero calls $10

Call/3bet pre? Folding seems kind of weak so I wasn't certain what to do :f_biggrin:

Once I i hit my ace folding is not an option right?

call is fine there
you can´t fold your top pair, since he can easily shove any draw or somehow QQ/JJ

I'd call preflop IP too. Hard spot on the flop, it mainly depends on this pf raising range from UTG. if A9,AT are there u need to call.

as I wrote, he has quite a high pfr for shortstack - 19% in ~50 hands but then again the hand count is not that high to make strong assumptions.

Looking back into this hand I guess it might be better to 3bet here and call shorties shove. Especially since I hit my ace and then again I have ugly situation - dont really want to call but then again whats the point of calling AJ pre, hitting ace and folding to shorties shove. Then I dont have that many tough decisions later on But on the other hand, his 4bet range is really crusing my AJ since he will probably fold any weaker ace to my 3bet.. I don't know, dont really see any good line here :rolleyes:

And of course in this spot preflop I would much rather have small pp, sc or small suited ace
