Hello everybody, nice to meet you all. This is a fine community, kudos to everybody who made it happen and keep up the good work.

I'm looking for a nice place to start playing. Been playing fun money for about 2 months, also reading a few books and watching a lot of microstakes instructional videos.

I'm european so not restricted at any of the sites PS is affiliated with.

In your personal experience, what's the best place to start at, taking into consideration the software, how soft the games are, bonuses, customer service and the general feel of the place.

I'll be playing 25NL & 50NL 6max tables, not interested in any type of tournaments.

I'm considering either Full Tilt, for the excellent software and large crowds or a sportsbook/casino site like betfair or bwin for the fishy games and bonuses.

Any answers and oppinions will be much appreciated. Thanks.

For fishy cash tables then imo any site on the ipoker network is bestest... Not sure if there's enough traffic to play lots of tables if you're in to that sort of thing though.

Not much between Stars and FT, they are the biggest and best sites with the best software and top notch customer service.

As far as I'm aware, most sites offer similar first deposit bonuses - It doesn't really matter where you start because you can just jump from site to site clearing bonuses as you go.

Maybe a site that offers rakeback would be good for you? FT offers 27% and Cake offer 33%. I play at cake at the moment and like it alot.

Just to comment on something else you said though... You will be jumping from play money to NL25/50 6-max? For NL25 it would be advisable to start with at least $1250 (50 buy ins) and be aware that you're likely to come up against a lot of regs wherever you play. If you don't have much experience with real money play then I would suggest starting at NL10 maybe to get a feel for it... Just my 2 cents

Full Tilt for sure. bwin's software is really clunky. Maybe you could grind a little bonus on the side but I wouldn't rely on it as your main room.
