can i ever fold top pair this shallow?

Hi all,

Once again leading here makes life easier. I would bet/fold this flop. Your equity against any sort of reasonable range is too low.

As played after checking though, check/raising would commit you. I think check/shoving isn't that bad, you want to attempt to price out his draw hands as they are usually flipping against you.
