You got good odds for calling pf so that is okay considering your stacks.
On the flop however you should just give it up and c/f. You have middle pair and only a backdoor straight draw, so no need to invest anymore chips.

This exactly!

your hand is not strong enough to continue on the flop. you need to have a strong draw or 2pair or better to continue. you can call a small bet with top pair against 1 opponent, but here we have middle pair so we have to c/f flop.
