[Closed] French/Italian online poker laws

I play on the site ehere most of the fish are french. Recently NL25 tables started drying up really fast. Some reg mentioned it is because of the new french online poker law, and that in the future french players will only be able to play french, and noone from other countries. that sounds a bit strange.

So maybe someone who's following the french laws can shed some light on what exactly that law means?

Don't know about French, but since you mention Italian I can tell you in short that Italy wasn't happy about people playing online and the taxes going abroad, so the authority has blocked poker rooms from Italian DNS and forced the rooms to create Italian registered versions which pays taxes locally, hence the reason for having pokerstars.it or party.it.
