I think, given the history, you can give this up after he calls on the flop. You are repping a Q on the flop that bets big to protect against the flush. When the flush hits, why would you be betting again? You would likely check behind a hand with value, I think.

If you had a fd on flop, you would either bet smaller I guess or check behind for free.

I'm getting used to this limit myself, so this may be an big overgeneralisation, but generally I feel that the $ is made by playing value poker against weak opp rather than 3barrel bluffing regs.

Hand 1)
I think checking back the flop and giving up is an option.
Once we do start bluffing I like betting bigger on the turn to maximize the foldequity.
On the river depending on the opponent an overbet could be nice, but w/o any stats and reads it's hard to say something about the hand.

Hand 2)
I'd bet the turn and give up once he calls, his check/callingrange is somewhat strong, I doubt he ever c/calls air (again: w/o reads/history it's hard to make estimations)
Imo he's not folding the river often enough to make a third barrel +EV.
If you want to bet I'd make it something around half pot. Our valuerange mostly includes TPs and we would not pot it with A9.
Even with 2pair we would probably not bet potsize since his range isn't too strong (he would fold most of the time).

Hi,

my impression is, that you are too aggressive against him AND he knows it.
You valuetowned yourself pretty hard with both hands.

Hand 1: You can consider a bluff-3-bet in blind battle preflop. Villain will have a hard time to continue oop.
As played: check behind flop and if he checks turn you can take a stab representing flush

Hand 2: I'd play the aces exact the same way villain did. What did you want to represent? Set? Straight? Would you actually play a set or a straight the way you did? If the answer is no, please either just bluffraise the flop or fold. (You wouldn't loose so much.)

Best regards,
Anin
