[Closed] NL5 KQs - Trips on Flop

KQs from UTG1 is a bit tad loose and will more often than not result in you being in a marginal spot.

If you think the opponent is calling a turn bet (at NL5 they often are) than you can certainly fire a 2nd barrel. However a check on the turn will often induce an opponent to call a river bet.

As played, I think you could maybe make an even bigger river bet (but not too large) since this opponent already called on 2 streets and will call just to see if his pair (2 pair in his mind) is good.

I should have given more info. The table was fairly tight which opened up my UTG raising range. Villain had being playing about vpip:16 pr: 12 if i remember right. I bet the river small planning on folding to a re raise because i could not see what worse hands were calling my bet, except for a weaker king, which is not going to re raise. In other words i think he is folding most weaker hands and re raising (obviously) hands like 99.

I would usually just keep betting since these players will call you down with anything. Could maybe check the turn for max value vs TAG since he will rarely have worse kings and won't call down light. KQs is a great hand to open from UTG in any situation. Bigger bets on turn/river as played.

At this stake if he has any king you are going to get his stack, and if he is a fishy type (which most are), you are going to miss value by checking from all the 9's in his range and most pocket pairs, and even straight draws and flush draws on the turn.

You can bet/bet/bet, but also if he floats you or has there Kx, he should bet himself on the turn and you can c/r
River: if he is going to call 1.75$ bet, he should also call 2 or even 2.25 bet, so I like bigger valuebet
