[Closed] Top set on the turn, pants pooped on the river

I never limp on FullRing. I rather raise 99 to get heads-up right there. iF by any means you have the feeling that there are too many players going to call your preflop raise, shoving preflop is no mistake either.

So when you are heads-up you have:
1) The luxury of having iniative and knowing people will miss the flop 66% of the time
2) only one opponent so increased FEQ
3) a bigger pot to fight for (5bb+5bb+1.5bb = 11.5bb = $2.35)
4) A relatively stronger hand with a pocketpair

As played:
On the Turn I would bet $2.5 or even contemplating a shove for max value

The river now is a meager check back because I think your hand is too vulnerable if you bet like $2 to get value from 2pairs because you cant withstand a c/R

OK. I thought 99 was a bit weak to raise in EP, and as it was a limpy table I thought I'd try to set mine. I agree I should have shoved the turn. I actually shoved the rest in on the river and UTG showed me AcTc for the straight. Was not happy.
