Hey Tim,

I think I'd only 3bet a midstack if I was willing to go broke pre. And with 66 here, I think it would be a mistake to go broke.

Besides, as you said, he doesn't fold much to 3 bets. So you'll often end up playing flop oop with a weak pair and midstacked. Doesn't sound like a good spot.

What if we just call his raise? even though we get odds a little worse than the Call 20 rule suggests, we can count on his fishyness to pay us off more often than not.

I would mostly just fold this preflop since we're in the SB, if likes to overcall (and doesn't squeeze too much) I'd consider calling as well.

As dandycal already mentioned with your read that he doesn't fold to 3bets it's not a good idea to open up a pot in which you're almost commited with a cbet.
Also you have to consider that you're trying to exploit a fish who's not folding to 3bets by 3betbluffing (well, not exactly bluffing since you have some equity, but there are certainly better hands to 3bet against him) with the plan on cbetting a lot of flops - counting on him to fold.

As played I'd definitely try to cbet, it's the only way you can possibly win the pot (except for rare cases in which it gets checked down and he has air) and his range is wide, so I expect to have some foldequity.

With hands like AQ+, TT+, I guess we're always 3b/pushing pre, but how would you play other hands like KQ, KJ, AJ, AT?

They seem a little too weak to stack off, but against a villain who calls wide, we can plan to 3b pre and cb/C or cb flop/push turn on many boards where we get OC + backdoors or GS?

Or would you prefer calling oop?

Edit: I'm always considering we're playing vs 40-50bb.

Imo we should 3bet them for value as he seems to have some leaks when it comes to calling 3bets.

If he shoves I'd probably just fold against a 50BB stack.
Against 40BB it's close, I think you can argue for both, calling and folding.
Since he seems to like calling 3bets I'd probably fold since I don't expect him to 4bet lightly (he just calls the hands he's not sure about).
