Even if he has a 3rd 10 on the table? Thx. I've been wondering about that for a while.
Yeah, it's holdem so your hand is best combination of 5 cards out of all of the 7 cards (5 community and 2 hole cards). Your pocket cards don't necessarily play.
Take for example the board being AAAAK. Even if someone has KK he is still playing the board, thus it would be a split pot against anyone. Hope you understand now.

Got it. I still have problems when it comes to split pots. When does the pocket card play a role and when not?
Your hole cards only play when you can make a better 5 card hand by using one or both of them in combination with some of the community cards than you can have by just using the 5 community cards.
For example if the board reads QQJJ9 and you have 88 as your hole cards then you will be "playing the board".
If the board read QQJJ7 you would use one of your 8s to make a better 5 card hand than the board - two pair (Qs and Js) with an 8 kicker.
If the board reads QQ77A you would use both of your 8s - two pair (Qs and 8s) with an A kicker.
