[Closed] Does poker affect your relationship?

Get the missus to make you drinks and food whilst you play and then say thank you. Relationship nurtured IMO.

Then when you climb into bed at 4am, wake her up and say here you go, I'm gonna lay back and enjoy the view you go crazy....

However if you're seriously asking this question, the easiest thing to do is date night once a week, where the PC isn't turned on and you either go out or get a DVD and snacks and just chill on the sofa.

IF there's kids involved obviously things change.

Basically though... Play less hands of poker.

EDIT** Or more depending on which one you love the most

Option no. 2 - What I did... get the missus into poker! She loves the $1.75 18 mans on stars

And, bizarrly, also likes watching me play...

We have a child, plus another due in Oct - The plan for them? Poker pro's baby.

Just make poker a part of family fun time and everyone is happy.

Or leave the missus.

I've been trying to for years... She's always up for a live game (and is pretty good really), but she refuses to play online.

It's never really been an issue for us though as I only play a few hours a week and usually when she's doing her own thing.

I'd say relationships affect poker and not vice versa. Cause it could affect your mood, cause tilting and so on.
You can't be grinding every single hour so you don't have any free time for a partner. Never thought about life together and poker anyway cause I'm only 23.

ofc poker affects your relationships as it moulds your character in some ways as any other activity which becomes your job does.
