i like the preflop bet size
BB bet after flop is ~ 1/2 pot, right? I don't know if I would call - either a re or a fold IMO.
I would put the BB either on a flush draw or some ace (either AJ+ or maybe with a hit 2nd pair - e.g. A3 would be my candidate here). On the other hand BB is chip-leader on table and might be playing a little looser)...
When BB calls your AI shove on turn I would crap my pants...
I don't know if I would be willing to go AI with top pair and decent kicker - mind you, you played that hand very aggressive - and as BB called I'd expect a tough lay-down...

BTW: this reminds me of a hand I played yesterday - it is kind of comparable. I played it like a real fish - didn't expect villain to hold that good cards but I get lucky in the end: (you can imagine how I felt when I got to see his hand):

preflop is fine , dont like flat calling there

but cbet flop , even if you dont have a A you should repesent it , at this level dont think they will fold thier flush draw & think thats pretty much all thats beating you in his range apart from 8s which dont think he has

if you do bet flop & get reraised then you can get away from this with 25K stack

BB´s donk gets 2 callers on A high flop.
If he is not an absolute maniac he will never bet on the turn with air.

So which made hands does your AJ beat? I can only see weaker aces, but 3 weaker aces hit 2 pair and i dont think he will barrel other weak aces very often since he needs to fear better aces.
All in all after his turnbet your AJ is nothing more than a bluff catcher and I would just let it go.

A raise (and fold to 3bet) on the flop would be a valid play too. villains donk might be an information bet so why not give him the information: i beat you, gtfo.
I am not sure if this play would have been better, this depends on reads and tableflow.
