Your status is calculated on a rolling basis depending on your best recent tally of points.
The lifetime points contribute towards your Black Member status.

My points say 47.5 to gold and I earned them 4 days ago...

I have no Idea how the points work, but my portal says I am a Bronze member and I need 1 more point to become a Bronze member.

I have 147.3 lifetime points. What are lifetime points? What kind of points do you need to move up levels?
