SB 62,675
Hero BB 21,901

Hero has KK

SB raises 4,950
hero??

Blinds 600/1,200
average around 50K
194/1.943 left
189 paid

What should have been the better play, call, and risk he hits something with a trash hand or trash Ax, with the hope that he will continue his steal with a bluff on the flop not hitting anything/something weak? Or is shoving the right play?

I just hate these KK or AA from blinds vs. probably a steal situations, I always feel I get shortchanged when I shove at the steal and the guy folds.

From the same tournament a few hands later

Blinds 800/1,600
average around 55K
180/1.943 left
189 paid

mp3 41,481
sb 35,606
hero bb 21,751

Hero has 33

mp3 raises 4,800
sb calls 4,800
hero?

A good squeze spot or is 33 too weak to squeze with (ie I should be squezing with only 77+?)???

#1
it depends standard in ur spot with those stacks/blind level/bubble time is shove
if he was raising a ton SB vs BB and u never shove on him u might just call and shove any flop

#2
SB doesnt really have a hand imo maybe if u shove he will call u with 77-99 or AT+ or some other shit like KQs or something like that if he is donkey but really he is almost never trapping there to induce shove from u and most time he will fold
so u r main concern is MP

but u have a nice stack to shove that will hurt him and tehre are a ton of dead $$$ in pot so im squeezing here a ton 22+,Axs,A8, KQs some suited connectors etc
if MP is really really tight guy who almost never opens i fold but vs every1 else i shove 33 there if they fold u'll have like 50% of ur stack add and vs tightish open/calling range like 77+, AJ+, u have descend EQ (and he might fold BTN of his range 77-88, AJ which always good)

1st hand

Shoving is the standard play, since steals and resteals are so common in the blindbattle and your stacksize is decent for the resteal, you will still get calls from a relatively wide range.
Especially if you feel uncomfortable on an A high flop, i would recommend the shove to avoid postflop mistakes.

2nd hand

33 is an ideal hand to squeeze there and the spot is great since the raiser and flatcaller sit in pretty late position.
That being said your stacksize is too small to be able to really squeeze. Both opponents will get 2:1 or better, so every reasonable player will call pretty wide.

The perfect stacksize to squeeze here would be somewhere around 35k - 40k.

You could shove your stack in and hope for a flip with deadmoney, but folding is perfectely fine and most probably the best play. The MP3 open doesnt need to be a loose steal and SB could be trapping.
