Ok so MP was opening a lot - 33% Atts but I'd also seen him open wide from middle positions (not just CO/BU/SB). CO is just some random like 50/18 fish and he will probs call it off a fair amt of time - but I am not rly dominated very often plus he won't call it off that much since it will be his tourney life on the line.

In the pot there was like 30k of money and If I win this I am in a good position to final table - since we are down to like last 15.

Is it a good spot to make such an agressive play or should I just wait for better hands or to push/fold?

with the fish in the hand who only has 40k left, shoving a hand like 43s is a big mistake imo.

i'd widen my valueshovingrange since the fish will be calling a lot but i don't see any good reasons for investing 40k with never better than like 35% against a player against who you won't have much FE.

if it was only against the regular, i'd rather choose hands with more equity against his calling range as well. 43s is actually dominated a lot in this spot since i don't expect him to fold any medium pocket pair here.

As muebarek said it comes down to how big your foldequity is. I like the squeeze against the loose MP openraiser but I dont like it against a short fish who will call off often at all.

To pull off such a 'next to any 2' squeeze you would really need to have watched CO limp/folding and flatcall/folding before.

Notice that the squeeze will get more sucessful the larger COs stack is. with such a small stack the flatcall looks more like a trap than like weakness to me.

That being said 43s is not the worst hand possible to squeeze. If your foldequity is big enough you will only get called by monsters against which 43s does run relatively OK given the fact that every single hand in your range is crushed anyway.
