Can anyone suggest which software I should get please?

you have two options:

1. get Elephant for free
or
2. try HEM and PT3 (both have trial period) and buy one you like more they're more or less the same

I guess you mean headsup display (HUD) which shows stats at the table. In this case, yes, you need licence = 2000 PS points
